I have a preference for old things that are worn with time, made to endure and still prove their purpose in a modern world.

I try to embody that feeling into my ceramics work by looking to nature and the ancient past for inspiration to shape and carve my pieces — while also offering a nod to my Greek heritage. I prefer the earthiness and stability of the brown clay body I use. It gives a soft quality to the glazes that serves as a juxtaposition to the stability and enduring nature of the piece.
